Endodontics Program Director; Tenured or Clinical Track Faculty position

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Department of Restorative Sciences invites applications for a full-time Graduate Program Director as a tenured or clinical track faculty position in the Division of Endodontics.
Major responsibilities include directing the Advanced Specialty Program in Endodontics, developing research platforms to facilitate resident and student research projects; preclinical, clinical and didactic teaching, competency assessment of pre-doctoral students, provision and monitoring of patient care, and participation in scholarly activities. The successful candidate is expected to be involved in the School of Dentistry meetings, committees, continuing education, and outreach along with other tasks assigned by the Division Director. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and credentials.
This position will work with faculty, staff and students to provide a positive and productive experience for Endodontic patients. This person will be vital to the education and success of our graduate and pre-doctoral students. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be driven to teach and develop our students, give the highest quality of care to our patients and carry out high-impact research related to Endodontics.
The ideal candidate will have a history of research experience in Endodontics or a related field and will bring that knowledge and experience to the Division of Endodontics. This candidate would serve as a mentor to Endodontic residents as well as partner with other Division and Department faculty and students on creating and pursuing research as it relates to Dentistry. This position is also expected to actively seek external funding to support their research.
The Division of Endodontics carries out the teaching, research, service and outreach missions of the School of Dentistry and the University of Minnesota as they relate to the dental specialty of Endodontics.

DDS/DMD degree or recognized international equivalent
Current Minnesota Dental License or can obtain one prior to start date
Certificate from an Advanced Specialty Education Program in Endodontics from an ADA-Commissioned on Dental Accreditation Program
American Board of Endodontics Certification
Research in Endodontics or related-field
Experience in mentoring residents or students in research
Experience working with a diverse patient base
MS or PhD in oral biology or related field
MS & PhD in oral biology or related field
6-10 years full-time teaching experience
Patient care experience
History of external funding
