Endodontist: Examine, diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. Perform root-canal therapy by removing the nerves and blood supply from injured or infected teeth. Treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. Surgical treatment planning and placement of dental implants, and site augmentation with grafts and membranes. Minimum Degree Requirement: Doctor of Dental Surgery, or foreign equivalent, and post DDS degree completion of a Certificate Program in Endodontics in an American Dental Association approved program.
