Specialist who supports the practices of an evidence-based group by being a clinical and non-clinical resource for the full scope of endodontics, including but not limited to the following: diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated tissue, tooth and periradicular structures and/or conditions, orthograde and retrograde treatment, trauma treatment, regenerative treatment and familiarity with implants. Educates patients on preventative measures to promote overall oral wellness in an evidence-based group practice. As a clinical leader, provides direct and indirect mentoring, supervision and feedback to clinical staff. As a professional leader, provides high quality care and serves as a responsible steward of resources.

Required Skills:

Demonstrated ability to utilize evidence based dentistry to recognize symptoms and identify treatment alternatives of diseases of the nerve, pulp and other tissues affecting the vitality of a tooth. Proven ability to recommend treatment and treatment alternatives to patients in a reassuring and clear way. Extensive knowledge and proven ability to use microscopes for Endodontics. Proven ability to coordinate, supervise, or manage the activities of others to accomplish goals. Understanding of principles and processes for providing patient services.

Required Experience:

Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and successful completion of a U.S. residency program in Endodontics. Oregon providers must also have at least a Minimal Sedation Permit (Permit required within 90 days of hire). In addition, the Oregon license must indicate Limited to the Practice of Endodontics as a specialty. Washington and Oregon providers must have a valid DEA Registration and CPR Certification.
